Services
- Jumpstart is a community based charitable program funded by Canadian Tire that helps children in need participate in organized sport and recreational activities.
How to Apply
- Can submit application online – should have following read:
Eligibility
- Children must be between 4-18 years old and families must meet Canada’s LICO criteria.
- Applications must include proof of financial need. A clear, legible, and most current copy of your Canada Child Benefit statement will be required as proof of need including the following information: Parent Name, Family Net Income, Marital Status, Child First Names.
Cost/Funding
- Up to $600 annually per child and $300 funding per application to cover the costs of registration fees, equipment and supplies, safe transportation, and benefits.
- Cheques are made payable to the organization that is coordinating the sport/physical activity for the child.
KidSport

Purpose
- KidSport provides grants to help cover the costs of registration fees so that all children aged 18 and under in London, can play sports. KidSport accepts applications and administers grants of up to $250 per eligible child, per calendar year for kids living in London
How to Register for Grant
- Folx can go onto the KidSport website and click on the “Apply for a Grant” button/ link where folx will be connected to a page where they can follow step by step instructions and requirements for applying for the grant
Eligibility Requirements
- KidSport is a one-time grant per child, per year and there is no guarantee to this grant as a family is to register and discover if a family is eligible for the grant
Play your Way Fund – City of London

Services
- Play Your Way Fund provides up to a MAXIMUM of $300 per person to help with funding towards recreation, aquatics, golf, day camp and Storybook Gardens.
Referral Process
- N/A – apply online, in person (at a City of London recreation center), or apply by mail
Eligibility
- To qualify, you must be 18 years of age or older, a City of London residents, and have a family income that falls within the ranges based on your family size, available on the website.
- You must also show valid documentation for each family member (i.e., birth certificate or passport), Proof of income (CRA notice of assessment, CRA goods and services tax, CRA child tax benefit summary) and Proof of residency in London (rent receipts, utility bill, etc.).
