Dr. Joyce Radford, C.Psych

Director of Clinical Intervention Services

Email

In her capacity as the Director of Clinical Intervention Services, Joyce provides clinical leadership and supervision to team members in the preparation of psychological assessment reports for Youth Court (Section 34 Assessments).  Beyond their criminal involvements, the majority of the referred young people have family challenges, learning struggles, substance abuse issues, and mental health problems as part of their profile.  A court ordered psychological assessment report is meant to provide an overview of a young person’s struggles, while also identifying means for intervening with and redirecting a young person’s life.
Prior to her work at the Clinic, Joyce worked with high risk youth and families in Toronto and has clinical and research experience in the areas of early intervention and prevention. Throughout her career, Joyce has remained committed to working with marginalized families and youth, both in her capacity as clinician and researcher. She is an Adjunct Clinical Professor in the Graduate Department of Psychology and in the Counselling program within the Faculty of Education, at the University of Western Ontario.
