ADR-LINK maintains three rosters of ADR practitioners who are available to take cases in the South West Region of Ontario:

It is from these rosters that available practitioners are selected to be assigned to referred cases. The roster system is in place to ensure that only trained and qualified ADR practitioners are assigned to cases.

How do I place my name on the ADR-LINK roster?

If you are on the CP roster of the Ontario Association for Family Mediation and/or the George Hull Centre and are available to take cases anywhere in the South West Region of Ontario, you can ask to be on the ADR-LINK roster for Child Protection Mediation or Family Group Conferencing.

To maintain the viability of the ADR program, ADR providers are asked to respect the ADR-LINK Principles Underlying Payment Guidelines.

Application to be Placed on ADR-LINK Roster

Referrals are now being processed from nine children's aid societies.

What About First Nations ADR/ODR?

Processes for the development of Original Dispute Resolution for First Nations in the South West Region are now under discussion with the involved communities. The Original Dispute Resolution Symposium held in March of 2008 was an important first step in that process.

This 3-day course focuses on issues involved in child protection mediation in Ontario and will enhance your knowledge and skills. Those passing the course are eligible to apply for the OAFM Child Protection Mediator Roster. The workshop is taught using a combination of lectures, group discussions and relevant, hands-on practice through case examples, scenarios, role plays and skills exercises. For information on the next scheduled workshops, visit the web site of the Ontario Child Protection Mediation Roster Program.
