How Can I be Trained to Do Child Protection Mediation?

The Ontario Association for Family Mediation is the approved trainer for child protection mediation in Ontario. Consult their web site for information including details of pre-requisites for the training and also for the dates and locations of future training sessions:

Anyone completing the child protection mediation course can apply to be on the child protection roster of the Ontario Association for Family Mediation. Anyone on that roster who is available to take referrals in the South West Region of Ontario can also apply to the ADR-Link roster.

How Can I be Trained to Do Family Group Conferencing?

The George Hull Centre is the approved trainer for family group conferencing on Ontario. Consult their web site for information about the training/mentoring process:

Anyone who is successful in being registered on the George Hull Centre's roster of approved FGC Coordinators can apply to the ADR0Link roster.

What about ADR in Others Parts of Ontario?

Each region of Ontario has its own referral process. ADR-Link serves the ten counties of the South West Region. For information about child protection ADR in other parts of Ontario, contact your local children's aid society.
