Helping Children Thrive...information for mothers who have left abusive relationships...The material in this pamphlet is part of Helping Children Thrive / Supporting Woman Abuse Survivors as Mothers: A Resource to Support Parenting. These ten tips for parents are presented along with a list of ways that an abusive man can affect mothers as parents. The entire 78-page resource is available for download or it can be ordered from the Centre. Why are these 10 tips important for use with children who have lived with violence? We suggest reasons here. We also have a work sheet for women, to help them generate ideas -- perhaps in a support-group context -- to apply the concepts.
